Since 06.07. 2023, the busy buzzing on the roof of Salvia Gebäudetechnik in Eislingen is hard to miss. We have hired a whole 30,000 new employees* in the newly established environmental protection department - bees are not only known for their honey, but are also indispensable for our lives and our planet. While many people love honey, there are also those who dislike it or are even afraid of bees. But in doing so, they often don't even realise how significant the existence of these insects actually is.

More than just honey - bees as drivers of our food chain

Pollination is a crucial process for plant reproduction - this is where bees come in as indispensable pollinators. Both animals and humans depend on this process, as we feed on the pollinated plants or use them to feed our livestock. If there were no bees, the entire pollination process would collapse. The result would be a collapse of the entire food chain, which would ultimately lead to humans and animals going hungry.

This fact alone suggests how important it is to protect bees from extinction and to support them in their work.

Producer & defence mechanism - bees protect the environment

Bees not only secure our food chain, but also protect the climate by ensuring that plants can reproduce with their pollination. In this way, they stabilise ecosystems, make them more resistant to human-induced disturbance factors such as exhaust gases and ensure that more CO2 can be filtered out of the air.

In short: More bees - more plants - more stable ecosystems - less CO2 in the air!

Support for regional beekeepers

The last 60 years have been characterised by a significant decline in beekeeping. All the better that businesses can also help support beekeepers. By providing a habitat for bees and supporting their population, we help beekeepers build healthy colonies and produce high-quality honey.

Delicious by-product - honey from our own grounds

Besides their huge contribution to the protection of the environment, bees also produce delicious and healthy honey. Our Salvia honey will be used as a regional product in the entire area of the Buntweberei. Our employees, guests of our neighbouring hotel LOOM and also our customers will be able to enjoy our honey on occasion.

Going green - Salvia Gebäudetechnik

We are proud to be able to support not only a basic building block of our lives and ecosystems with our little bees, but also to bring a smile to the faces of our employees, customers and guests. As Salvia Gebäudetechnik, we strive to successively offer and implement sustainable alternatives for our customers. With photovoltaic systems, charging stations and the digitalised building, we are already making good progress and can offer customers a decarbonised building. With our bees, we can bring environmental protection closer to our employees & customers and possibly motivate them to take measures for a healthy planet themselves.
