The construction of a new office and production complex in Schkeuditz began in summer 2018 with a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony. Salvia Elektrotechnik is the developer of the project, which cost around five million euros. Later Salvia Elektrotechnik will move in together with its competitor PKE Deutschland, each with 30 employees. 2000 square metres cover the new administration and production site between Edisonstraße and B6.

"We are happy to have finally received a building permit after a long time. We have been trying to settle here since 2016. Now we are looking forward to moving in in spring 2019," said Salvia managing director Filippo Salvia. Already today, 15 Salvia Elektrotechnik employees are active in a branch office in Schkeuditz, which was increasingly becoming too small. "We deliberately chose this location because there are highly motivated and top-qualified skilled workers here as well as an excellent transport infrastructure," said Andreas Bauer, managing director of co-investor PKE.

The new building complex in the Leipzig-Halle economic region is to be occupied by the two companies, 50 per cent each, from spring 2019.
