Topping-out ceremony at the Buntweberei

Eislingen/Fils. The Buntweberei shall become a ‘place to be’. It is being built on the areal of the former Wurster weaving mill. Belonging to it will be the Hotel ‘Loom’ with a rooftop bar, rooms for conferences and meetings, the historic boiler house as an event location, a fitness studio with physiotherapy, and Pop-up-Stores.
“Despite the Covid-19 crisis we are still on schedule,” Filippo Salvia happily states. He functions as the project developer and is working in collaboration with the Wurster heirs to revitalize the area. Last Thursday, the topping-out ceremony took place, but due to local restrictions in place, only in the circle of craftsmen and partners. “ We have produced a virtual tour so that everyone can create their own picture,” says Salvia.

Flexible Spaces

The electrical engineering company "Salvia Elektro" will also move its headquarters to the Buntweberei. “We are designing the premises there entirely in line with the ‘New Work’ concept,” Dirk Jannausch says, Managing Director of the Salvia Group. “We are delighted that we will be working in such an exciting, diverse, and lively environment in the future.” The new headquarters are characterized by open spaces and opportunities for collaboration as well as it features state-of-the-art technical equipment. He says this holds also true of the meeting and conference area in the Loom, and the co-working area in the hotel lobby. In addition, there are the "pop-up stores": smaller sales and exhibition areas that can be rented temporarily. " The Buntweberei will be a meeting place with many opportunities to work, to exchange ideas, but also to enjoy life," Filippo Salvia is pleased to say. Andreas Brucker, who also runs the Hotel Eislinger Tor, is already on the lookout for employees to ensure that the launch next year goes smoothly. When the experienced hotelier and restaurateur talks about the many possibilities in the Buntweberei, you can feel the anticipation in every sentence: "We can't wait to finally welcome the first guests."
