As a constantly growing company, we are always on the lookout for new, exciting faces to tackle projects with us. In the meantime, a proud 1500 employees* together bring buildings to life. Semir Hadzic is a new member of the Salvia Gebäudetechnik marketing team. Today I ask him how his onboarding process went and why he actually wants to work at Salvia Gebäudetechnik.

Question: "What made you apply to Salvia Building Technologies?"

Answer: "The job advertisement and the general job description really appealed to me. Even though I never thought I would end up in Eislingen after my studies. I saw the new job ad and thought to myself, "Come on, I'll take that job too. What have I got to lose?" Then I applied straight away. "

Question: "How did you apply?"

Answer: "During my application phase, I saw the job on the Stepstone portal. In the end, I applied via the online form on the Salvia homepage and it was even surprisingly easy, as you can jump directly from the open job advertisement to the online application with one click."

Question: "How did the interview come about?"

Answer: "My application quickly reached the right people. I can still remember that the first positive feedback was already in my email box after a few days. After that it was very quick and we agreed on an interview date already after the first e-mail contact".

Question: "How did you feel about the interview?"

Answer: "I must confess that I had a different image of Salvia Building Technologies and the interview partners in my head when I applied. When you hear the name for the first time, you don't necessarily think of the most modern contemporaries. I was obviously proven wrong, otherwise I wouldn't be talking to you today. I knew right after the first 2 minutes of our online meeting that I wanted to have these people as colleagues and grow in this culture. The looseness, humour, respect and appreciation they showed me is something I haven't experienced with any of my other peers. This is exactly why I chose Salvia Building Technologies. "

Question: "How was the time between the interview and the start for you?“

Answer: "After the interview, it took about a week until I received a positive answer from the HR department. The next step was to get to know each other on site. We decided to combine getting to know each other with the opening of the Buntweberei site. So I found myself between Giovanni Zarrella, Karo Kauer, Mimi Kraus, 400 visitors and my current supervisor. It's not often that you get to know someone for the first time. While Giovanni Zarrella entertained the audience with his songs, I was allowed to get to know my future colleagues and managing director in Eislingen. After getting to know them, it was clear to me: I want to work with Salvia Building Technologiesand Salvia Building Technologies wants to work with me - the best conditions for starting my new job!"

Question: "Your first day at work - how did it go?"

Answer: "Actually, I am used to the classic first day where something always goes wrong - be it missing work materials, Adobe licences, missing staff or forms not filled in. To my amazement, my first day at work went completely unproblematic. Everything I needed was there. After a detailed introduction to the company, I was given a tour of the building. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I was also able to choose my place quickly. I think it's great that you have the freedom to choose your own place in the Buntweberei administration building through the LuCas app. Afterwards, we already had our first meetings and brainstorming sessions on future topics and projects. "

Frage: "Do you feel comfortable with us in your day-to-day work?"

Answer: "Absolutely. The marketing crew is on the same wavelength and pursues the same goals. We all want to move Salvia Gebäudetechnik and its subsidiaries forward. This goal-oriented thinking was very important to me from the beginning. As a three-man/woman department, we have to pull together to achieve our goals. I was thoroughly trained in my areas of responsibility right from the start and know what I have to do. That is why I am happy to have landed here. I am exactly where I want to be. I am looking forward to my future in this company!"
