While the actions of an individual do not have much influence on the world, we can achieve great things as a community. Therefore, in addition to famous personalities, it is primarily the companies of this world that are put on a pedestal by ordinary consumers and whose actions are critically scrutinized, especially when it comes to issues such as responsibility, morality and sustainability. Basically, this is referred to as corporate social responsibility, i.e. a responsibility towards the outside world that companies must be aware of. Closely related to this term is social influence, or social impact - the actual effect that a company's socially responsible actions have.

Social impact can work in two directions, either positively, by helping to solve social problems and improve people's wellbeing, or negatively, by causing negative impacts such as social inequality or environmental damage. Overall, social impact plays an important role in creating a sustainable and equitable society that focuses on the well-being of people and the planet.

In principle, six different courses of action can be identified for generating a positive social impact:

1. Projects that promote equal rights and respect for all people, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or social background.
2. Actions aimed at protecting the environment, combating climate change and promoting sustainable practices to ensure the quality of life of future generations.
3. Projects and initiatives that aim to reduce poverty and give people access to basic resources such as food, shelter, healthcare and education. 
4. Community development: Actions aimed at strengthening communities, promoting social cooperation and building the social capital of a society.
5. Programs that improve access to education, increase the quality of education and promote equal opportunities, especially for disadvantaged population groups. 
6. Initiatives that improve access to quality healthcare, combat disease and promote the health and well-being of the population.

We take responsibility for our actions out of conviction

At Salvia Building Technology, we are aware of our social responsibility and actively support people within and outside our group of companies. Our employees enjoy a number of benefits, such as company health management, a job bike and membership of our partner E-Gym Wellpass. We show our presence at our locations and in the region by regularly supporting municipal events, sports clubs and much more. Charitable organizations are also among our donation targets.

Our home planet is also close to our hearts - in Eislingen, we recently hired 30,000 new animal employees who take care of the environment with their pollination work. With our apprentice project, the Urban Garden, we can make a positive contribution to preserving the local ecosystem and enjoy our delicious produce at the same time.

We are also establishing more and more sustainable solutions in building services that combine technical innovation, low consumption and ease of use. For example, photovoltaic systems and electromobility have been part of our range of services for years. The digitalization of buildings as a service also has a positive effect on the environment. The conscious consumption of energy alone effectively reduces emissions.

In summary, our commitment to the environment has always been driven by a relentless motivation to keep improving - in what we do and in the services we offer.
